OS/2 and AS/400, the story - day 3

I see that I forgot to tell that I didn't include WIN-OS/2 in my instllation. That would have given me the mundane Windows 3.01-version, and who needs that? As a matter of fact, I aim to install the Odin-software for Windows 32 support to see how far that will take me. As usually, any links that I use can be found here.

Installing OS/2 (11. April, 2006)

I have just installed a version of the Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader - it comes only as a version 3.0 and in English. The first run of it crashed, and the screen became frozen! Had to do the Ctrl+Alt+Delete command and a complete power off and on. Seems that the video driver is not that stable...

Now for installation of a decent web-browser. Anybody that thinks that the delivered OS/2 Web browser is OK have not been around the net for many years - I believe that the Opera browser is rumoured to be a very good one. Let's just see, if that is true! - The funny thing is that although I am doing a lot of downloads from the web to get software, I haven't really made the connection from the Tecra computer yet. You know, it took some time to fix the network access, so I stopped right away the moment that I was able to ping my firewall and connect to my Windows XP computer. But I am going in the right direction now (I hope...)!
Interrestingly enough, the Odin installation pack explains that it doesn't need the Odin runtime - how about that? I didn't even knew that Opera and Odin had something to do with each other. Maybe this will make me change my mind abit about the Odin project, but that requires some investigation - and after all, it is really the AS/400 I wants to use. But the Opera software also mentions the WarpIn software and that I have heard about before. It seems that I should need that in due time, if Opera doesn't install it (seems so, anyway).
